A Little Bit About SWE

SWE is a global nonprofit organization (Society of Women Engineers) that focuses on empowering and assisting women engineers or aspiring female engineers. SWE was founded in the 1950’s, electing Dr. Beatrice Hicks as their society’s first president. Their main mission is to create a suppportive community and promote professional devoloment while helping these engineers achive their dreams. They invision a world where women are fully engaged and active in the engineering and technology field. SWE priotitizes integrity, inclusion, collaboration, innovation, and trust. All in all, their goal is to increase recruitment in women engineering, support advancements in careers, and promote leadership and recognition in the field.
